We ask that folks stay in their cars unless they are picking up concessions or using the restroom. Whenever you are out of your car, you are required to wear a mask for everyone’s safety.

IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, PLEASE BRING A SMALL OR REGULAR SIZED CAR (sedan sized or smaller). We want to make sure EVERYONE gets a great space. SUVS, TRUCKS, CARS WITH HIGH ROOFS/RACKS/ITEMS ON ROOF often have to be parked further away from the screen to avoid sightline issues.

If you bring a larger car, arrive as near to when we open our gates as possible to get the best possible space.

This St. Patrick’s Day, we decided it was time to celebrate in true Irish-American style with a completely irreverent movie about Irish American gangsters in Boston.

That’s right. Martin Scorsese’s stunning powder keg of a crowd pleaser, THE DEPARTED starring a murderer’s row of talent-Jack Nicholson, Leonardo Di Caprio, Matt Damon, Alec Baldwin, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Ray Winstone, Vera Farmiga. . .

What’s so surprising about THE DEPARTED is how thoroughly Scorsese makes this remake of the Hong Kong action blockbuster INFERNAL AFFAIRS his own.

The set-up is pure pulp brilliance. Super smart police cadet Billy Costigan Jr. (Di Caprio) gets assigned to go deep undercover in local Irish Mafia Boss Frank Costello’s gang.

Meanwhile, Costello has groomed Billy Sullivan (Matt Damon) to go deep undercover in the Boston Special Investigations Unit. So each side has a mole but neither side knows the identity of the other side’s mole.

From there, the movie achieves a surprisingly effective amount of anxiety and tension as we watch, bite our nails, and wonder who, if anyone will come out alive, from this dangerous game of cat and mouse.

Scorsese found a way (as he almost always does) to pour his own anxieties about faith, the current condition of the United States, and moral character into a movie that just as easily could have not worked.

Instead, what we get is one of Scorsese’s most purely enjoyable and dynamic movies. All about Irish-Americans. As we celebrate in the most irreverent of ways on St. Patrick’s Day.

Best always,

Craig Hammill (Irish-American)

We can offer refunds up to 24 hours before showtime. Please request a refund through Eventbrite and we will process ASAP. After that, no refunds. Sorry.

HELPFUL PARKING LOT CINEMA TIPS:

Please make sure you know how to hit off your car headlights before attending.

Bring warm clothes, blankets, a few layers just in case it gets chilly and you don’t want to run your car the entire movie (although you totally can if you want).

Make sure you know how to work your CAR RADIO so you can TUNE to any frequency you want.

The earlier you arrive, the better space/closer to the screen you will get! Once you get parked, you can totally leave the lot, go to get food, come back.

HOW CAN I CONTACT YOU IF I HAVE OTHER QUESTIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS:

You can always email us at community@secretmovieclub.com or sales@electricduskdrivein.com with any other questions, concerns, thoughts, recommendations.
