LOCATION: The Secret Movie Club Theater, 1917 Bay Street, 2nd Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90021

*Please note entrance/parking is actually in the back of the 1917 Bay St building. Our entrance is NOT on Bay Street. You access our entrance from Wilson Street by turning into the street art alleyway/corridor in the back of the building. Look for our signs which are always posted on Wilson and in the corridor to guide the audience.

7:30pm Secret Movie Club Open Mic & Workshop 2025 Track Mixer

Tonight, you're invited to party, mingle, network, and learn about our 2025 Open Mic Short Night & Workshop track. We want you to be a part of it.

Do you want some structure and support so you can take your idea from script to shoot to completion? And do you want the candor and constructive feedback to make sure it's the best it can be?

Secret Movie Club is committed in 2025 to expand the workshop and movie incubator component of our programming for moviemakers. We want everyone creating. We want everyone pushing themselves. We want everyone getting better.

We'll continue to host our regular once a month Open Mic Short nights and moviemaker workshops. These will remain open to anyone.

We will also be adding once a quarter staged reading nights where moviemakers, performers, and movie creatives (composers, editors, cinematographers, producers, etc) can gather, hear scripts 10 pages or fewer, and decide if they want to team up, make it, and get it done.

Secret Movie Club will be offering resources like our space for auditions, crew meetings, and test screenings to help aid moviemaking teams on the hard but wonderful journey from idea to finished short.

Then at the end of 2025, we'll hold a Secret Movie Club showcase where finished work will be shown to the entire moviemaking community. And hopefully giving moviemakers a bridge to the next level of moviemaking.

So if you're interested, want to form community, get that extra hand up, push out to get your movie made, join us tonight.

Your $10 ticket will be applied to either an Open Mic short night, workshop, or staged reading event in 2025. So consider it a reservation putting you on track to get sh@t done in 2025.

We'll go into more detail at the event. But we'll also have music, friends, moviemakers, and hang time so folks can get ready to get going.

REFUNDS:

We can offer refunds up to 24 hours before showtime. Please request a refund through Eventbrite and we will process ASAP. After that, no refunds. Sorry.

However if something last minute comes up and you can’t make the screening, for whatever reason, just write to us before showtime: community@secretmovieclub.com and we’ll offer you complimentary tickets to a future screening, good for 90 days. (Disclaimer: Future screening must have available tickets, cannot be a fundraiser, and must be comparably priced)

HELPFUL SECRET MOVIE CLUB (1917 Bay Street, 2nd Floor, LA, CA 90021) THEATER PARKING TIPS:

We recommend that you park just outside our theater. Remember our theater is actually in a beautiful street art alleyway in the back of the 1917 Bay Street building. You get to our entrance by taking a right on Wilson, then a right behind the building. We are the first set of black steps on the right after the big gate.

There is also a parking lot at the corner of Mateo and Violet Street, just 2 blocks from our theater, which costs $7 per car.
