35MM INDIANA JONES TRIPLE! Saturday, June 19, 2021
LOCATION: The Million Dollar Theater Movie Palace, 307 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90013
*Please note audience members who purchase tickets for TWO or MORE FEATURES in a day can purchase an all-day pass and park at the Grand Central Market Parking Garage (corner of 3rd & S. Hill Street). Please purchase a $6 all day parking passes via our ADD-ONS. We will hand you your parking pass at the screening.
**We will open doors 1 HOUR before each screening time so audience can have plenty of time to enter, maintain 6 feet of distance, pick up or buy concessions/drink, and get their seats. We will have staff who will help guide and direct audience to their seats.
Audience staying for all 3 features will be given RESERVED SEATS that will be good the entire day.
11am RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (1981, dir by Steven Spielberg, Paramount, 115mns, 35MM)
2pm INDIANA JONES & THE TEMPLE OF DOOM (1984, dir by Steven Spielberg, Paramount, 118mns, 35MM)
5pm INDIANA JONES & THE LAST CRUSADE (1989, dir by Steven Spielberg, Paramount, 128mns, 35MM)
IMPORTANT NOTES:
**WE WILL BE EXPANDING OUR CAPACITY AND ADJUSTING TO THE NEW PROTOCOLS FOR ALL EVENTS 6/15/21 ONWARDS!
***ALL GUESTS WILL BE TAKEN THROUGH PROTOCOLS PRIOR TO ENTERING THEATER SO EVERYONE CAN HAVE A FUN AND SAFE TIME.
****Please still bring phone photos or actual vaccination cards and masks so we can continue to make sure we are keeping events as safe and worry free as possible.
HOW TO:
1)PLEASE PURCHASE ALL TICKETS FOR FOLKS IN YOUR “HOUSEHOLD” AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL HELP US KNOW HOW TO LAY OUT THAT DAY’S SEATING PLAN. So for example, if you are attending in a group of 3 people all of whom will be sitting together, please purchase ALL 3 TICKETS at the same time.
For the time being, we are capping the maximum “household” number to 4 tickets/4 people who can sit next to each other.
2)PLEASE BRING AND BE READY TO WEAR A PROPER MASK AT ALL TIMES INSIDE THE THEATER. While you will be able to order, eat, and drink concessions in your reserved seating area and there will be a loosening of mask restrictions, the county will still require folks not yet vaccinated to wear masks at all other times.
3)PRE-ORDER ANY CONCESSIONS OR MOVIE MERCHANDISE you would like from the additional Add-Ons. You can pick up all concessions & merchandise at our tables in our lobby prior to the screening.
We will be able to sell concessions & merchandise at the theater. But it will make everything much quicker and easier if you pre-order!
4)PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ANYONE EXHIBITING COVID OR FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS AT THE DOOR, WILL BE OFFERED COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS TO A FUTURE SHOW AND ASKED TO RETURN WHEN HEALTHY. So please, if you’re feeling sick, just write us at community@secretmovieclub.com and we’ll offer you complimentary tickets to a future screening when you’re healthy. Let’s all do our part to beat this thing so we can go back to the complete movie going experience!
At first, we were nervous about doing triple features at the Million Dollar Theater. Who would have the stamina?
Why did we worry? So many of you turned out for our Memorial Day Kubrick Triple that we realized it may be the way to see movies for the time being!
So we're going all in on an Indiana Jones triple 35mm feature. And we're getting archive prints!
First up is 1981's RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. Simply put, the BEST popcorn summer movie of all time (for this programmer's money). We meet daring archaeologist Indiana Jones (played with humor and panache by Harrison Ford) mid-adventure and are soon jetting with him on another adventure. This time Indy has to convince ex-flame Marion Ravenwood to help him find the biblical Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis get it and use it for evil, world-dominating purposes.
Along the way, we get romance, we get some of the best action set pieces put to film, we get humor, and we get Spielberg and Lucas in top form in one of the best collaborations between two creative filmmakers ever.
We follow RAIDERS with 1984's INDIANA JONES & THE TEMPLE OF DOOM, the movie that created the PG-13! Here we actually leap back in time by one year for a prequel which finds Indy and an orphan he's taken under his wing, Short Round, joining forces with woefully unprepared torch singer Willie Scott, to rescue the holy Hindu Shankara stones from a cult of death beneath an Indian palace!
Intense and startling in parts (hearts get ripped out of chests!), TEMPLE OF DOOM also boasts several of the greatest action setpieces in the entire Indy canon including the mind-blowing opener which starts in a Shanghai nightclub goes to a plane then moves to a raft racing down a snowy mountain (you just have to see it). There's also the Mine Cart chase, the rickety bridge. . .it's pretty mind blowing.
And lastly, we wrap up with the heart warming and rip roaring third movie INDIANA JONES & THE LAST CRUSADE which finds Indy pairing up with his estranged father (played wonderfully by Sean Connery) to once again take on the Nazis as everyone races to get the biblical Holy Grail which is purported to give eternal life to any who drink from it.
LAST CRUSADE is every inch the action-adventure of the first two movies while also paying homage to Indy's roots in James Bond by casting James Bond himself! Tie that together with a wonderful Father-son relationship and reconciliation and you have the perfect Father's Day weekend trilogy!
Remember you can go to Grand Central Market in between each movie and bring back food, drink, beer, whatever. So come join us for a day of three of the greatest action-adventures ever made!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR OUR IN-DOOR THEATER SCREENINGS
REFUNDS:
We can offer refunds up to 24 hours before showtime. Please request a refund through Eventbrite and we will process ASAP. After that, no refunds. Sorry.
However if something last minute comes up and you can’t make the screening, for whatever reason, just write us at: community@secretmovieclub.com and we’ll offer you complimentary tickets to a future screening.
WHY ARE THE TICKET PRICES HIGHER THAN NORMAL?
In order for us to re-open, maintain health protocols (which includes operating at only 50% capacity), and screen movies on 35MM, we need to temporarily raise our ticket prices. We apologize.
However, if you could look at this as partially helping Secret Movie Club re-open indoor theaters and 35MM film screening, we would be eternally grateful.
As we can increase capacity, we will IMMEDIATELY LOWER ticket prices.
If you could look at this as all of us being in this together, we WILL remember your kindness.
HELPFUL MILLION DOLLAR THEATER MOVIE PALACE PARKING TIPS:
If you are attending all movies on any given day (the double or triple feature), you can go to ADD ONS and pre-order an all day $6 Grand Central Parking Lot Pass. The Grand Central Parking Lot is at the corner of 3rd Street and Hill Street just 1 block from the Million Dollar Theater entrance on 3rd & Broadway.
Folks just attending one feature can also park at this lot and as long as you grab food/drink from GCM you can get a 90 minute validation stamp that will help the cost of parking.
HOW WILL OUR STAFF MAKE SURE THE THEATER IS AS SAFE AS POSSIBLE:
We will have staff in the theater (on both the ground and balcony levels) at all times who make sure everyone is wearing masks and obeying protocols. We will have signage at entrance, markings at concessions, restrooms, etc so folks keep 6 ft distance at all times.
Anyone not observing safe protocols will kindly be asked to leave. On top of this, we’ll be making announcements at the head of each screening to make sure everyone understands the rules & regs!
